North Yorkshire Moors Railway - (Grosmont Motive Power Depot)

Purchased 2 adult tickets now valid for a year and travelled to Grosmont where we ate at the refreshments cafe and looked round the engine shedswe travelled to Whitby next but did not disembark as only a 7 minute turn around and not wanting to wait for the next train in 3 hours.Children under 15 travel free with paying adults.

My favorite train ride in the UK. I've traveled all over and I think this is one of the best standard gauge heritage railroads in the world. Everything is just so perfect.

Fascinating time spent exploring the depot! You can see the fleet of engines and get up close to them. It’s dog friendly and also an extensive gift shop selling model railways etc. There’s also a little stall selling railway books!
