Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway

We stayed in the Maid of Kent camping coach accommodation and it was excellent. Clean well equipped and a really fun weekend away. The railway also offers lots of activities we went at the end of November and there was lots to do with the Christmas train rides (although book early to see Santa as this can sell out fast!).

Excellent railwaywas 14 years since I last went there this time my son wasn’t a baby so he enjoyed it. Lovely views of the Cumbrian countryside. The tickets are for set places on the train so unless the train isn’t full you can’t choose your seat.

Lovely little railway and staff are so helpful and welcoming. Set in a beautiful area of the Lake Dstrict with plenty of walking. A bonus for those of us that are disabled a tramper can be hired from Ravenglass
