It's a work of art installed in 1997 along the Riverside Walk. The nine foot tall structure was made from sandstone blocks formerly on one of the Durham Cathedral's turrets. So the blocks date from the 11th and 12th centuries.
absolutely fantastic gorgeous. 10/10 recommend the visit. came all the way from Australia to see this
