Kaltur Wine Bar & Restaurant

Had a lovely meal on Saturday night. The dishes we had were authentic and very tasty. We chose ham croquettes, lamb bon bons, king prawns pil pil with a bread basket, which was great to mop up the juices from the prawns. Our server recommended a very decent red wine and although the restaurant was very busy, the service was good. Can't wait to revisit

Visited during Restaurant Week and had a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious with lots of choice, the vintage wine was lovely, and the service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was cosy but still had a nice buzz. We especially loved the North Shields cod tempura with lentils. Would definitely come back!

Found this fabulous authentic tapas restaurant by accident. So glad we swung by and sampled 3 dishes - scallops, cod and pork. Each one was excellent and as we sat at the counter, the chef was right there to chat interestingly and intelligently about what we were eating. Prices on par with the quality and the wine selection is extensive (we had a lovely Albariño) Would 100% recommend it to anyone who enjoys a Spanish vibe...we had a great time chatting with staff and thought the food was as good as the best we've tasted in Andalusia. Will definitely travel from Glasgow just to do it all again, but will try more off the menu next time.

We had dinner here yesterday. The waitress was very friendly and had great knowledge of the menu and explained to us the ingredients and where the wine was from. The food was exceptional. We also had dessert and dessert wines which was wonderful, too. Would highly recommend.

Went for a double date during restaurant week and ended up having such a fabulous time with some amazing tapas food! I have to commend Kaltur’s extensive wine menu with information on which regions of Spain the wines come from and the lovely waitress who gives spot on recommendations. The only thing I can comment negatively on is the lack of staff and slightly slow service but it was mentioned to us that they were short on staff and of course restaurant week meant things were busier than usual! Other than that everything was lovely and I’m looking forward to returning.
