My girlfriend took me here for my birthday and told me it was amazing, she has good taste when it comes to food so I was already excited.
She recommended some menu items that she knew I would enjoy and boy was she right.
When the food came it was better than I could ever expect! The spices the flavours everything freshly cooked I don’t have a bad thing to say about it!
If anyone is hesitant to try this place please give it a go I couldn’t sing its praises more if I tried.
Absolutely delicious!
Firstly I wanted to say the servers were excellent,, friendly and professional.
The only thing I would say is the atmosphere needs some work, when coming out for a nice meal you don't expect to see people sitting eating in dressing gowns and bare feet. Also in that type of restaurant is it really necessary to have football on a large screen? It's not a pub!
The food, although very nice could have been a bit more authentic, you don't get peppers and mushrooms in a Thai green curry. When getting duck spring rolls you could have served at least 2 of them, not a lonely single one.
Maybe invest in some signs for outside so it'd easier to find the restaurant and park near it.
Dined here on a spa day package, the included menu had a good wide range of options, unlike many other places. Nice interior and a good atmosphere. We ordered prawn and shrimp crackers, baby squid, corn cakes, duck spring rolls and Thai fish cakes, followed by chicken massaman curry, prawn pad Thai, duck wrap with sweet potato fries and a beef and a prawn teriyaki, alongside fries and wok fried greens. The food was exceptional, alongside a good cocktail menu. We finished with a chocolate brownie, cheesecake and creme Brule. Had a pescatarian and staff were happy to accommodate dishes. The only letdown was the service, it was inattentive, we had to go and find staff to order dessert, drinks, and get the bill. Otherwise a good experience.
No Asian restaurant worth their salt should be serving dim sum like this. Torn, thick underdone dumpling pastry and overpriced. I’ve spoken to staff about this the first time it happened. Yet weeks later nothing has changed.
This poorly served dish cost over £10. When I spoke to staff about this it was shrugged off. Do better! The people of the north east deserve better than this. Demand better dim sum!!
