Nando's Durham

Hands down the best Nandos experience I've ever had (I have two daughters obsessed with Nandos so I've been to LOTS!!) firstly this was after 8.30pm on the last day of the Durham Lumiere festival so it was crazy busy, however this didn't stop Mike & his team deliver a superb experience, Mike was a pleasure to chat to and made us all feel very welcome (felt more like a home owned family restaurant than a chain!). The restaurant itself looked great having not long had a refurb. The food didn't take forever but Mike still came over and explained the wait again very friendly The food itself was excellent, and again I know this is a chain but it was well presented, good portion sizes etc. All in all this was 100% a perfect little family night out. So Mike...thank you and thank you team for a job well done, we will definitely be back!!! ☺️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🍗❤️

Nando’s is sooo good! The chicken is perfectly cooked, tasty, and the prices are reasonable. Definitely a go-to spot for a yummy meal!

Best Nando's I've had in the UK by far. Food was on point, fresh, hot and full of flavour. Huge shout-out to Jamie, the guy who served me. Absolute top lad, friendly, attentive and made my whole experience there all the more welcoming.

I was welcomed by a friendly member of staff, and when I went to order I was asked about any allergies. Always a good thing, even though I have no food allergies, so worth mentioning. Service was fast, and the food was gorgeous. The atmosphere was relaxed. I was there when they weren't too busy, but even when a few tables were filled I enjoyed my meal in peace while also being checked on occasionally. The right balance, and I took my time to enjoy both a main and dessert.

We've only visited Nando's in Durham a couple of times, but it already looks like this will be our favourite Nando's. Despite being busy, the restaurant has plenty of space both inside and outside, which is great for a comfortable dining experience.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and understanding, especially towards our need to take care of our little daughter. They provided us with colouring paper and crayons to keep her busy while we waited for our food. This small gesture made a big difference and added to our pleasant experience.

Prices are standard for Nando's, and all the usual standards are maintained. The restaurant is clean, and the facilities, including the toilets which are located upstairs, are well-maintained. This setup contributes to a cleaner environment, unlike some places where tables are right next to toilet doors – not the case here at all.

I highly recommend this Nando's and will gladly give it five stars. The dishes are served at the correct temperatures, with cold dishes being cold and hot dishes being hot, so no unpleasant surprises with warm salads or cold chicken. The restaurant appears to be sufficiently staffed, ensuring there are no delays in service.

Overall, Nando's in Durham is a fantastic place to dine, whether for a quick meal or a relaxed family outing.
