I like this Wetherspoons! Toilets are downstairs. Staff always quite nice and helpful and they do have takeaway boxes at least the last time I went. The better spoons in York for sure with a better more chilled atmosphere. The building is quite nice too. Good proximity to the train station and to town. Nothing bad to say More

Same old reliable spoons perhaps could have done with some more staff but in fairness it's quiet season and we were a large group that clearly they wouldn't typically have had in there especially on a weekday. Without our presence service would have been fine. Drinks and food are decent yet affordable/cheap. More

Awful experience. Not only did they get our drinks wrong the wait for food was so long and it was freezing when it arrived I paid for large breakfasts and didn't receive any hash browns my mushrooms were not cooked and my toast was black and inedible More
