Stumbled upon this place on the way back from York. We ordered from the lunch menu which was excellent value. Food was homemade and exceptional portion sizes. Couldn't fault it. Staff were lovely and they gave a family feel to the atmosphere. Would love to return if in the area again! More

This is a really nice pub. The only reason I gave 3 on atmosphere was that it was very cold inside. The heating was on but the large fire was off. Wrong decision on a very cold day. Won't stop me going back though. More

Steak pie is to die for.Absolutely delicious. Meat lean and tender.Homemade. Your chef can certainly make a pie. Better than the farmers dog pub.Great service.
