Drax

Drax is the largest power station in the uk. It produces 14tera watt hours enough power for five million homes. Tours of the plant are only open to educational groups. There is a good foot path around the perimeter of the site offering good views. There is also anature reserve open to the public.

Fascinating bit of British industrial landscape a truly huge operation and an incredible site to see when you are there. I'd be terribly sad to see this all go in the future but I do think it has played an important and integral role in the industrial scene of the UK.

Used to load PFA daily shame over time everything changes. Spent many hours on site plenty to moan about but still look back on them as good times. Great staff back then .
