Medieval Walls

Really enjoyed walking the Medieval Walls with my family—great views of York Minster and not too tiring at all. It’s a nice way to see the city from a different angle and take in some history along the way. Peaceful scenic and definitely worth doing. More

Awesome medieval wall intertwined with an ancient Roman wall.The wall is not a complete circle as it is broken in part that walkers have to find their ways around.Not a big deal as it is simple.There are gates that one has to climb for the walls.But it offers a nice break in the walk to take some really nice pictures. These walls were amazing. We took a walk along these walls and the views were spectacular. The York Minister was visible in the background and it was such a great way to end our day. One thing I would be weary of is if you suffer from mobility issues I wouldn't recommend this. There are a lot of steps and sometimes steep ones. More
