A hidden gem it was actually closed however the door was open so we had a quick look and were given a full tour of the little museum full of unusual tools and items it took me back to my days in the Navy the people are all volunteers and do a cracking job bringing back to life the boats and heritage of the Tyne.

Went with our charity happy at home. There was 12 of us. They opened just for us.great guys very warm welcome. It is museum/ working boatyard. They restore historical boats amazing to see the work they do. Well worth visit. Check opening times before going.
